MovieTech enhances the options for using the Magnum Dolly

New motor, new electronic unit, new battery charger

The new Magnum motor – the heart of the dolly is the result of sophisticated engineering and manufacturing techniques. The lifespan of the motor has been considerably extended and the silence of the motor has further been improved with its new low-noise brake.

The latest Magnum Dolly column is equipped with a new electronic unit. Together with the standard hand control and the wireless hand control that have also been updated, the control system matches the high requirements of the film set. We have achieved highest precision with optimal versatility.

The new battery charger works with intelligent technology: the battery cells are constantly checked to monitor their remaining capacity and the required charging current is determined and supplied. If a battery is defective, this is indicated with a corresponding error message.

The mileage of the studio wheels has been significantly prolonged thanks to the use of a new rubber compound. By fine-tuning the coating, the operating characteristics have been further optimized.

The wheel mount (dovetail connection) has been equipped with an additional tightening system enabling tolerance-free interlocking. The result is a higher steering precision.

Braking performance has been increased with the new combined brake system. It brakes the track and the studio wheels at the same time - an important safety element, especially when working with heavy loads! The brake pads are vulcanized with a resulting increase of their lifetime.

Redesigned seat arm adjustment - improved surface finishing

The new seat arm adjustment enables a particularly rapid change of the seat height. The wear-resistant slide bearing is made of high-strength steel: V2A.

The column guide rails are now made of a new steel alloy with a resulting increase of the smooth running of the column. The Magnum Dolly surface is finished with the latest coating methods for optimal protection against scratches and abrasions.

MovieTech System Low Rig in a set

The MovieTech System Low Rig in a set (Order no. 2087) enables to mount the camera in a lot of different ways on the Magnum Dolly

By the use of 3 rod extensions (300mm, 400mm and 765mm) the camera can be adjusted in various heights. Two side out rigs (455mm and 540mm) permit to keep the necessary distances to the center.
The package comes with an custom made flight case with rollers.

Magnum Dolly central steering

MovieTech AG now offers a completely redesigned system platform and central steering for the Magnum Dolly.

The Magnum Dolly now has a central steering option. The option allows more space between the steering rod and the column, therefore making the work of the cameraman and focus puller more comfortable. In some situations a central steering is also more comfortable. The steering can be fitted extremely quickly and does not require the use of any tools.

The new central steering is available for EUR 2290.00.

Tripod adapter for U-Bangi

The MovieTech U-Bangi can now be used on tripods

As part of its continuous products improvement, MovieTech now offers a tripod adapter set for its U-Bangi.
The new adapter with its Euro mount clamp extends the possible applications of the MovieTech U-Bangi. This means it is possible to mount it directly on column extensions or tripods with ball-socket adapters at any time. The central section of the U-Bangi can then be used as a camera carriage with a sliding range of up to 870 mm [34.3 in].

The adapters are available complete for EUR 640 plus VAT and can be mounted on all existing MovieTech U-Bangis.
The adapters are already included in the overall package of a new U-Bangi. The system ia available for EUR 2460.

Crane dolly MT400 camera platform

The possible applications for the MT400 basic dolly have been extended thanks to a new camera platform. A pre-fitted turnstile allows the mounting of seats and column extensions as well as numerous other MovieTech accessories.

The complete platform package with turnstile and four clamping bolts is available for EUR 1950. The version with Euro adapters prices at EUR 1350.

Tracking spoke base for light track

Movie Tech presents a new mini spoke-base for use on track.

The well known and tested mini spoke base with euro adapter mount has been integrated with a new set of track wheels. This extends the possibilities for the mini spoke base as it can now be used as a classical spoke-base for a fixed camera position as well as a lightweight dolly for a movimng shot.

The complete spoke base with tracking system is immediately available for 840 Euros.

The light track for it is also available in 6.4 meter extendable sections and you may purchase a kit including 6.4 meters of track at 1620 Euros.
